John Locke said we are born neutral.. switzerland in human form. it is only the world around us and how we adapt and relate to it that allows us to be good or evil.
clean slate.
I thought my slate was cleaned, and that i was starting over, but as it turns out, there was still a lot of residue and grime left on it. Turns out, certain words and phrases, sounds and smells, things and gadgets, people and places all act as catalysts for that residue to grow and spread out of control. Lysol kills 99.9% of bacteria, but alcohol can only kill so many brain cells.
turns out, i'm still dealing with stuff i thought i was done with. turns out that it will probably fester and swell every so often. what joy there is in the idea that i may get to experience these things and feelings over and over again until they become routine, and maybe only then will it only feel numb.
