I also feel the same way you feel. I actually like to take a step back and say that she started to slowly unravel that day at the window. You could tell she was really bothered by Kate being back hence her almost burning the bacon. LOL. She was asking him about all of them returning but in her mind she was really asking "Ok, so do you still love me or do you want to be with Kate". Sawyer was clueless just like he was when he took her hand. I hate that they never really gave him a voice due to the alarm sounding and then when she kept cutting him off in the jungle. Part of me was really upset with James because I wanted him to tell her "No, we are NOT breaking up. We are going back to the beach with Rose and Bernard. Fucks them". LOL.

For a long time after the season 5 finale, I felt that Darlton really misrepresented Juliet. I felt like they wrote her overreacting to a look. However, after a while I started to think that maybe her behavior wasn't so uncharacteristic. She was always insecure. She was a mess before the island and was still kind of a mess on the island. But her island self was basically trying to survive and cope with her situation. So it would serve to reason that letting James in more than she did with either Goodwin and Jack...would cause her to really become unhinged. I don't think she was jealous of Kate initially because she sent James after Kate to take care of Ben. But I really think him calling Kate "Freckles" started her snowball to rolling. I think she really wanted to believe that he did love her more but that insecurity was creeping up AND he didn't really do anything or say anything to reassure her. And looking at Kate while she is looking at the fucking dirt thinking about Jack didn't help. I wish Juliet would have let him explain what was going through his mind. I like to think that maybe he was thinking that he wanted to have that kind of life that Rose and Bernard were talking about with Kate but he knew that shipped had sailed. I just can't believe that after THREE freaking years he would still feel like Kate is the person he loves more. I call bullshit on Darlton for even attempting to spin that storyline and have the audacity to kill Juliet off over that shit. She really loved him though and that NEVER wavered for a moment. I mean she was let his ass go so he wouldn't fall in AND was willing to detonate a fucking hydrogen bomb so he could go home. Seriously? Kate who? LOL! She was completely selfless. That is the very essence of love right there.

Sorry for the rant but I could go on and on about Juliet and James.
