Rating: NC-17. There be smut here, kiddies.
Spoilers: Slight spoiler for 'Hub'.
Author's Notes: This was written for caramelapples11 - I hope you enjoy! I started writing this after 'Hub', but then stopped after 'Revelations'. I had my doubts after what happened in the mid-season finale, but I decided to post it anyway. There are no spoilers for 'Revelations', but you'll understand my hesitance to post after reading it if you have seen the episode (I think). Anyway, I've rambled on too long. Comments are love ♥

Beaded water ran down Laura’s skin and dropped off of her fingertips, creating ripples in the water as she stood perfectly still. Each breath she took caused another rivulet to course down chest, and she slowly opened her eyes to look out at the horizon. Reds and purples mingled with white clouds, and she let herself sink down into the water to escape the still oppressing heat. Her hair snaked out around her before she closed her eyes again and took a deep breath, ducking under the cool waves. This was her lake, and she called to it to revive and re-energize her spirit. After all, she was on Earth now, and she didn’t have time to waste on being sick or tired.

The two of them had found Earth together, her and Bill, and after the initial chaos, she asked for her cabin. A little house in the middle of nowhere and flanked by water. It was there that Bill had nursed her back to health, and it was there that they learned of D’Anna’s death. She had been resurrected, only to have an eternal sleep; one that she couldn’t come back from. As Laura started to get better, so did her appetite. It helped with her energy, and she still reveled in the memory of the first night she’d felt well enough to make love again. Just as important to her was her hair. It grew back faster than she imagined it would and almost a year later it was at her shoulders. She rejoiced to have something that Bill could run his fingers through once again. The rhythm of his calloused fingers slowly stroking through the strands of red never failed to soothe her, and that was something that she’d missed dearly when she was bald. Never again though, she thought. She was better; someone else had died for this new life on Earth and it wasn’t her. Sometimes, she wasn’t sure how that made her feel, and if she ever felt the tiniest bit relieved, she didn’t know how that made her feel either.

Laura was so wrapped in her thoughts that she didn’t notice Bill slip into the water with her. She wasn’t fazed though when strong arms wrapped around her naked torso. Leaning back against him, she didn’t say a word as her eyes watched the falling sun. He didn’t either until stars mingled with the fading pink hues of dusk. His lips dragged across her bare shoulder, and his voice rumbled from his throat. "You’re going to turn into a prune out here."

With a smile, she turned and looked up at him. "In a month we’ll have been here a year, and I still get caught up in the beauty of it all."

Bill’s lips pressed against her forehead tenderly. "You have a few missed sunsets to make up for. Sunrises, too."

Laura’s hands ran over his sides slowly as she let her head fall down against his shoulder. "I’ll get to them. For now, I’m enjoying waking up with you. I’ll get to sunrises later." Her lips pressed against his neck in feather light kisses, and she pressed closer to him at the feel of his large hands running up and down her back slowly. She didn’t speak again before raising her head and pressing her lips to his in a soft kiss that she was glad to feel him reciprocate immediately. No longer was she fragile, and never again did he have to hesitate when he pulled her into his arms. Her lips parted, and the feel of his tongue sliding over her bottom lip promising more made her sigh contently against him. She explored his mouth in return, her own tongue gliding over his and the roof of his mouth. She loved the way he tasted and she only realized how intensely she was kissing him when she felt the press of his hips against hers.

Breaking away to catch his breath, Bill ducked his head to trail kisses down her neck. "You’re naked under here," he murmured.

With a little smirk, Laura closed her eyes and let her hands wander down his torso. "So are you, sir."

His laughter made her smile widely, and she pressed her lips against his shoulder. When one of his hands ventured down her torso, she stilled her movements, her stomach tensing in anticipation of where his hand might travel. When his fingers grazed her inner thighs, she let out a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding, letting her eyes fall closed. As his fingers finally found their way to her clit, she pressed her face against his neck and whimpered his name quietly. Her hips moved in a lazy rhythm against his hand as her fingers clutched at the back of his neck. "Bill..." his name escaped her lips as a soft gasp, and she moaned into the dark.

Bill’s eyes drank her in, never once leaving her face as he experimented with his touches, first light, then hard but slow. Every whimper and moan was seared into his mind, and when he recognized the moans that meant she was going to come, he pulled his hand away reluctantly and grasped her hips. Pulling her closer in the water, he kissed her deeply and grunted at the force she used to kiss him back. Her hips pressed against his urgently; grinding, and it was all he needed to finally thrust into her, groaning against her mouth when she was completely surrounding him. Breaking their kiss, his lips moved over her chest as far as he could manage as he started to move his hips in a rhythm that slowly picked up speed the louder she was. He could hear her, and he could hear the water moving around them as they created small waves with their movements.

Laura’s legs wrapped around his hips and she trusted him to hold her up as she let her hands grasp at his strong shoulders. Her head dipped back, and when her neck was exposed, she felt his lips moving over the delicate skin, and she gasped when he sometimes bit, then used his tongue to soothe over the small marks. They were unhurried in their movements, letting the water sway them, until finally she couldn’t keep from tightening around him. She felt his fingers dig into her back and his hips speed up against hers. She moaned his name as her body shook and she came around him, stuttering out of rhythm but still moving. She wanted to feel him let go; she wanted him to have what she did. As his hips jerked against hers, she knew it wouldn’t be long, and her lips moved to his neck so that she could whisper against his skin.

As he clutched her, Bill tried to commit every feeling, every curve of her body to memory. The press of her chest against his and the feel of being completely surrounded by her; her smell and her taste. Every remembered moan and sigh was enough to throw him over the edge, and as he pulled her as close as he could, he started to come. "Frak..." He was panting against the side of her face, his eyes closed as he started to slow his movements. When he was finally still, their mingled breathing penetrated the otherwise quiet around them. It took him a few moments to realize she was speaking, and he finally looked down at her kissing across his chest.

"I love you," she sighed. "Oh, I love you…" She’d never stopped saying it after that first time on the base star, and she didn’t plan to.

Letting his lips trail across her shoulder tenderly, he made his way to her ear before speaking quietly. "I love you, Laura." He sighed contently and let his gaze drift to the shore. They weren’t far, and as he let the rise and fall of her chest soothe him, he decided to just drift with her. They’d make it back to land eventually, and with Laura tucked safely in his arms, there was never a reason to be concerned again.
