Easygoing, soulful hip hop from Kero One - a record that's an acknowledged nod to the early believers in his craft, but it's also carrying on the vibes from some of the earlier individualists of the Bay Area indie hip hop scene. This is really nice record - MC Kero One produces his own stuff, with a little bit of Del in his vocal delivery, albeit with the lucid, everyman kind of lyricism that reminds us a bit of Gift Of Gab. The production brings in a lot of soul, and some live instrumentation for extra warmth - with guitarist Vince Czekus kind of secret weapon in the sound - plus soul vocal hooks by guests Ben Westbeech & Tuomo.
