I am pretty happy about life this week.
My Ithaca audition went pretty well and I feel confident about it. Dr. Biggers wasn't all THAT bad. He seemed very much similar to Sobol (albeit younger), so I think I can cope if I go to Ithaca. I took the campus tour afterwards and was very impressed. I love upstate New York a lot. Route 17=love. I loved seeing snow, but ironically Long Island would also be getting it's first significant snow of the season. Actually it was more like a blizzard.
The rest of the weekend was pretty much uneventful. We couldn't get to church due to the weather.
On Monday we had a 2 hour delay, so I slept!
On Tuesday I made up the dreaded AP Calc test on Series. was Valentine's Day, which is one of my least favorite days on the calendar. It just makes people who are very much single feel like garbage especially when they desire not to be; however, Jazz Fest at West was an awesome experience again this year. Hooray for JAM outings.
Some not so good things happened on Wednesday. Pillitteri gave half of our physics class detention for being late after the break. I think he was so severe because of how the class behaved while he was being observed. BK gave our class a pop quiz because nobody did the homework. Seeing as how I missed the lesson yesterday while making up the test...well yeah. Lessons with Sobol were pretty good until I had that hard time with a rhythm in the 3rd movement of the Stamitz. Organ Lesson went well too. I went to Jazz Fest at HSE, and they did a superb job. And I miss Kalabza a lot.
Today was enjoyable. I somehow managed a 6/10 on that pop quiz. I got a 46/50 on the Series TEST!!! I spent 9th period working on fingerings for the Trio Sonata. I'm glad that I'm being productive during my off periods because it makes me feel like less of a derelict. Pit was also enjoyable. Yay!
So my life is going really well. I'm trying to eat at least three meals per day, and I think it's been very helpful with mental faculties and such. I've started to work out regularly, and I have more time to practice. I'm liking 2nd Semester a lot.
