Beth was asleep - but not for long. She woke, saw a strange figure in her room, and screamed for Kim. Kim was much more use in this sort of situation than she was.
Kim, in the living room, was momentarily delayed from getting into the room by a combination of panicked kitten, and tangled blankets.
Shego frowned. What a wuss! She definitely didn't deserve Kim.
Hands lighting up, she shot a powerful blast at the doorknob. Of course, this wouldn't keep Kim out for long, but Shego didn't need much time as it was.
Green glow still lit, in an instance she was by Beth's bed. She had a devious look. Her voice was low.
"Hi there, Beth. Yeah, you know this whole Kim thing? It's really not working out for me. So, here's the deal- you treat her as anything other than a friend, if you even TOUCH her- I will find out. And I will kill you. Oh, and if you tell her I threatened you, I will break every bone I can wrap my hands around."
After she finished she tried to look casual, looking at her nails boredly.
She couldn't respond as Kim opened the door. Purring, she gave her an appreciative look.
"Nothing, pumkin. I came in the wrong room. Geez, you'd think you'd be happy to see me." Completely casual, she strolled past Kim, going back to her ice cream. She picked up Simba on the way.
Beth rolled her eyes, and proceeded to tell Kim exactly what Shego had said. You didn't date Kim Possible without ending up in the odd life-threatening situation, and she had every faith in Kim's ability to protect her from the crazy woman.
So it was a very angry Kim who came out of Beth's room, burning with an icy anger that actually would have terrified her if she'd realised quite how livid she was.
"Just where," she hissed, "do you get off on threatening one of my best friends just because we happened to date in the past? I have to say, Shego, jealousy is a quality I really don't find attractive. And if you have little enough faith in me that you think you have to pull a stunt like that - well, I have no idea where you think this relationship is going but if that's the way you feel, I don't think it's going anywhere."
"You're gonna throw me out because I made myself clear to some girl?" Shego glared now, arms crossed. Kim knew her for years- really, could she say she was surprised?
"No, Shego," she said, with a sigh. "Because you threatened my best friend, without even saying anything to me - and because you don't trust me. Get. Out."
"If you would rather threaten my best friend because of some imagined interest she has in me - I'm sorry, Shego, but that's not the sort of person I want as a partner. If you can't see why I'm upset, it's probably best that you leave now."
Before either of them gets any more hurt by this than they already are. If Shego really does leave, Kim will probably cry for a month.
"Really, Kim? Let's think about your choice in a partner. I'm evil, I tried to take over the world, I hurt you on a daily basis, I've killed people and generally made life hell for you- and you're mad because I'm jealous? If I didn't give a shit about you, I wouldn't have said anything to Miss Wonder in there. I trust you- but I don't trust her. I mean, if I was alone in a house with you.." Her last sentence was a mumble. But she got up, slamming her hands on the table.
"You want me to leave? Fine, I will." She stormed into Kim's room, to borrow something to wear and get her D-Reader. She had no clue when Devimon would return for her, so she would probably have to wait for him on top of the building or at the park. At 3 in the morning, she could only hope she didn't get arrested or picked up.
As she looked for a pair of shorts or pants, she had to restrain herself from igniting her glow and destroying everything. Stupid Kim, why didn't she understand?
"There's a difference between. . . work, and our personal lives, though," she said quietly. "Yes, on one level, I do understand why you would do something like that - but you can't. . . keep me locked in a box, just because you don't trust the rest of the world."
As for why she was with Shego at all - well, she didn't understand that one herslef. one thing she did know, though - Shego was putting herself down. She wasn't evil. She tried too hard to be really evil.
"I don't see any boxes, Kim." Emerging in a pair of jeans and the same white shirt, her D-Reader was on her arm. She picked up the protesting Simba, brushing past Kim.
"I'm not doing what I want, I'm doing what YOU want." She gave Kim a hurt, slightly guilty look before storming out. She did a graceful flip off of the wall, continuing until she made it onto the roof.

"I have no idea who you are, but that's pathetic," she said, shaking her head. "It's really none of your business."
Kim, meanwhile, gave a snap-kick to the hinges of the door, knocking it down, and stood in the doorway with a furious expression on her face.
"Shego! What the hell do you think you're doing!"

"Hey, baby." Simba purred.

She stared at Kim, head tilting. She hadn't seen her that mad since the Diablo incident.
"I'm a jealous person." She crossed her legs.

"Get the fuck out of my house before I throw you out."

"Trust has nothing to do with it." She narrowed her eyes at Kim, becoming deadly serious.
"If you do this now, I'll never come back." And she meant it.

"Fine, Shego, fine. You do whatever you want."
She had better things to do than have this ridiculous argument.

Sighing, she glared up at the sky.
Devimon better come soon.
