Email from Operation: Winchester recipient!
I had an email from an Operation: Winchester recipient yesterday, and several people had asked if they could see the email. I asked him and he's given me permission to share his email and pictures with you all. :) I'm going to add them to the website ASAP, too. Meet SGM Benjamin Jones, US Army:

Just wanted to write you a quick e-mail to say Thanks for all the great
stuff that you had sent in the care package. I apologize for not
replying in a timely manner. We have been really busy around here
lately however, our Soldiers are doing great like always and their
motivation level remains high due to the support of many folks back home
that continues to send letters and care packages. It is Great Americans
like yourself that helps my Soldiers and I to know that we have support
from home. I really enjoyed your letter...thanks for taking a few
minutes out of your life to touch others like me. Once again, Thank You
from the bottom of my heart. I have also attached some pictures...I
hope you like them!

Good morning, Its good to hear back from you! I hope your day starts
off well...I don't mind if you share or show my e-mail and pictures to
others. I don't have any issues with you posting my pictures on your
web site either. It's good to know other folks care too. For some
reason, I am having a hard time trying to link on to your
operationwinchester web site...It pops up saying..."The page cannot be
displayed"? I also tried to cut and paste but not luck. If you would
like more pictures, just let me know. Once again, thank you!

We're trying to figure out what's going on with the website; it's opening up fine for me. :/ Anyway, I'm so happy to have heard back from an OpWin recipient, and to know that we're making a difference, however small that may be, for these fine folks. :)
Reminder: please email me (if you haven't already) with your contact person's name and service branch as soon as you request the full address, so I can add them to the recipients list on the website. Also, if you've heard back from your OpWin recipient, please let us all know!
