Who needs an alarm...
When you can have an earthquake? Yep, my morning began an hour earlier than it should have. I was jolted awake at 5:35AM EST to a very persistent rattling. My first thought was, "What in the hell is my cat doing?!"
Then the bed started moving side to side like a saw between two lumberjacks.
Weird.
I've experienced tremors before but this was a little more forceful than those. It was an interesting experience to say the least. Then I had to go into work early and deal with the insanity that resulted. For those who haven't seen the news today or live outside the US... the quake hit in south eastern Illinois. It was more than a hundred miles away and it still shattered windows here. There was no major damage where I live but of course everyone had to share their "quake" stories today. Needless to say I'm a bit tired.
Busy weekend of errands and shopping ahead. The shopping part probably doesn't sound so bad but I'm having to look for things that aren't fun to buy. Well, the shoes might not be so bad... ;-)
