Friends cut.
Leave one to stay.
Simple as that. I'm serious this time, though.
You have until midnight tomorrow.
Love to those who stay. <3
Love to those who go.
She stood on the oceanfront and smiled at me
My darling one, Kathleen
She dug her toes into the sand
Wrinkled her nose and drew in her hands
Put one on her hip, the other to her knee
My darling one, Kathleen
She giggled & shook loose her hair
Kicked up her leg; dress twirling in the air
Took me to her side, oh wait a pair
My darling one, Kathleen
The sun had set, and the sky had darkened
She sang in a whisper; the angels hearkened
She slowly moved onward, into the sea
My darling one, Kathleen
&in the moonlight, her hair looked a fiery red
Constrasting with the pale of her skin, rose of her cheek
This moment, I knew, I would forever dread;
The moment I'd chosen to be so weak
And as her song turned to a low hum
The water past her waist, I knew what was to come
I love you, says she, my one darling Kathleen
&I turned, accepting her fate
This is the end of all ends, and it's how it shall be
I can say it was worth the wait;
She was lost in blue when I turned to fare her well
Not even the red locks were amidst
On this eve I'd have asked at least one last kiss
I withdrew the box and took out its contents
Dug a small hole in the sand and placed it
Where I hoped it'd come to us; maybe in a dream
To myself, and my darling Kathleen
"Oh I'll take you back, Kathleen
Since first you were my bonny bride
The roses all have left your cheek
I've watched them fade away and die
I'll take you back, Kathleen
To where your heart was wide and true
When the sky is blue, and the grass is green
I'll take you home again, Kathleen"
And there it was, as I said
I was with her, alive and dead
And so it seems she and I are free
Me and my darling one; Kathleen
If that was too much for you to read
You need to be cut :)
Au revoir, mon ami
Mon coeur est a vous pour toujours.
