“Relationships don't work the way they do in the movies and on TV. Will they, won't they and then they do and they're happy forever, gimme a break. Nine out of ten of them end because they weren't right for each other to begin with and half the ones that do get married end up getting divorced. And through it all I have not become a cynic, I haven't. Sure, I do believe that love is mostly about pushing candies and flowers and... y'know, in some cultures, a chicken... but I still believe in it. Fact of the matter is, the couples who are truly right for each other wade through the same crap as everyone else. The big difference is they don't let it take them down. One of those people will stand up and fight for that relationship every time. If it's right and if they're really lucky.”
