*raises hand* I do! I do!
Thoughts on the season opener?
--Great. Don's married another child!
--Don married his secretary and bumped her up to creative. Yeah, you can tell this isn't going to end well. No wonder the rest of the office workers are kind of resentful about her.
--What?! Don told Megan about his real name?!
--Not enough Betty. I know we're not going to see a lot of Betty this season, but I'm curious as to how her marriage with Henry is faring. Because from the end of season four, I got the impression that Betty was not happy that things weren't drastically better since she divorced Don and remarried. (I know a lot of "Mad Men" fans tend to hate on Betty, but I've always felt kind of sympathetic to her.)
--WOAH. I've been marathoning the first four seasons last week, and you can tell Sally's grown up a lot since the show started. Did I detect her voice is starting to sound not so girl-ish? (I love that they've made Kiernan Shipka a full-time cast member now.)
--I noticed something. Don's birthday fell on June first. Know who else had a birthday on June first? Marilyn Monroe. (And for all the "Jem" fans out there, that was Jerrica Benton's birthday, too. Is there something about June first birthdays that tend to result in double lives/dual identities?)
--Roger Sterling's dickishness is going to come back and really hurt him this season, I can already tell.
--I hope Pete Campbell gets a good story arc this season. They're setting it up. He's getting pissed at Roger and everyone else in the office for not being responsible for much of anything.
--Everyone on fan boards are wondering if they're going to kill off Joan's husband in Vietnam or something. That'd be interesting if they did that; how would Joan react to being a single working mother? (I don't get the Joan-love, to be honest. While Christina Hendricks is a lovely woman and a decent actress and can pull off the fashion of that time period so well, Joan is not my favorite character.)
--...Did Harry Crane lose weight?
