Let's take a break from Disney and "Tangled" for a minute

I'm going to start doing a series of lists, mainly top ten lists. The first one I'll do (and I'm pretty sure I may have posted this before on here...I'll have to look) are my top favorite episodes of "The Simpsons." However, considering that "The Simpsons" has been on for over 500 episodes, I'll be expanding this list to include my top 25 favorite episodes.

25. "Homer's Phobia" Because I'm a huge John Waters fan. ("He didn't give you the gay, did he?")
24. "Lady Bouvier's Lover" Because Abe is one of my favorite characters, and this is probably my fave Abe-centric episode.
23. "HOMR" I like the idea that Homer could very well be extremely intelligent.
22. "Homer the Great" STONECUTTERS!!! Patrick Stewart! And a musical sequence!
21. "Homer's Enemy" Grimey, 'Nuff said.
20. "Lisa Vs. Malibu Stacy" ("Don't ask me! I'm just a girl! *giggle*")
19. "Burns Verkaufen der Kraftwek" ("Mmmm....the Land of Chocolate!")
18. "King-Size Homer" ("I wash myself with a rag on a stick!")
17. "I Am Furious Yellow" If only for Stan Lee's presence in this episode. Oh, and the crazy videos Bart made of Homer.
16. "Treehouse of Horror V" I love all of the Treehouse of Horror installments, but all three shorts in this one are the best. ("The Shinning" is probably my FAVORITE.)
15. "Last Exit to Springfield" ("DENTAL PLAN!" "Lisa needs braces." "DENTAL PLAN!" "Lisa needs braces.")
14. "Lisa the Beauty Queen" Yeah, I have a tendency to love Lisa-centric episodes. I love how Lisa ended up using her title to do good for Springfield.
13. "Boy Scoutz N the Hood" (""Oh, twenty dollars? I wanted a peanut.")
12. "Bart After Dark" Another musical sequence! Just one of the many situations that Bart could get into and you wouldn't question it.
11. "Lisa's Substitute" One of the first few season ones that always manages to tug at my heartstrings. Here Lisa has someone who truly motivates and inspires her, and she develops a little crush on, and when Homer dismisses it at the end and Lisa calls him a baboon and runs off to her room crying....it gets me every time.
10. "I Love Lisa" Okay, who DOESN'T love this episode? Ralph is awesome, even if he is a wimpy kid. ("You choo-choo-choose me?!")
9. "$pringfield (Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalized Gambling)" Never fails to make me laugh whenever it's on. Whether it's Mr. Burns being all Howard Hughes-ish, or Marge feeding her gambling addiction, or Homer trying to make Lisa's "Florida" costume...hilarious.
8. "Mr. Plow" If Homer's jingle wasn't catchy enough, Linda Ronstadt being in on this episode made it even better. And YES, Stewie Griffin, everyone DOES know the "Mr. Plow" song.
7. "Homer Vs. the 18th Amendment" Whenever this one is on, I HAVE to watch it. Homer as the Beer Baron and making his homemade gin in the basement kills me every time.
6. "You Only Move Twice" Bond villain parody, and the coolest boss in the world. Definitely the most creative episode they've ever written.
5. "Hurricane Neddy" Ned Flanders freaking LOSES it! "Oh look, if it isn't little Lisa Simpson! Springfield's answer to the question NO ONE ASKED!"
4. "Cape Feare" If it isn't for Sideshow Bob tracking down the family, it's his and Bart's "HMS Pinafore" duet towards the end. And Grandpa being locked out and forgetting his pills brings on one of my favorite lines in the series:
"I'm cold, and there are wolves after me."
3. "Lisa the Vegetarian" Lisa takes one of the first stands for what she believes in and alienates herself from the family in the process. Plus, the appearance by Paul and Linda McCartney are pretty cool, too. Plus, you don't win friends with salad.
2. "In Marge We Trust" I saw this episode when I was just starting to get into anime, and I still love it. "I AM DISRESPECTFUL TO DIRT!" Japanese commercials are just plain weird.

And my top favorite?

1. "Stark Raving Dad" Homer gets sent to the sanitarium because of Bart's stupid mistake. Everyone forgets Lisa's birthday. And most importantly....Michael Jackson makes an appearance on the show. EPIC. VERY EPIC.
