I frickin' missed "Grey's Anatomy" for Spiderman 3!

Someone please!!

If you watched all two hours of it on Thursday or Friday, please tell me what happened after Addison showed up in LA. I watched maybe 40 minutes of it before I left to get in line for Spiderman 3. (And I had to work Friday night.) Who died?! (Although I know who...just what of, I don't know.) Did Burke and Cristina get married?! Is George staying at Seattle Grace?! And what the hell is up with Meredith and Derek now?!

Speaking of...Spiderman 3 was good, for the most part. My thoughts behind the cut (because it reveals some spoilers):

1. Okay...too many villains. They could've done without Venom, in my opinion. They didn't need him. But I guess Sam Raimi was all, "No one really gives a shit about Sandman all that much, so we need someone like Venom in there to make people watch. Hell, let's cast that wimpy Eric Foreman from 'That 70s Show' as Eddie Brock to make people really give a shit about this movie. We'll do big teaser trailers not showing him as Venom until the movie actually comes out." They could've just had Sandman and no Venom, or they could've just had Venom and no Sandman.

1.A--However...I was more interested in the Sandman plotline and how it got resolved in the end. The Sandman was just misguided, in my opinion. And I think a lot of Peter's guilt over Uncle Ben's death was resolved over it, as well.

1.B--What was the point in teaming up Sandman and Venom at the end?!

2--If the rumors are true and they decide to do a fourth installment (which I think would be overkill at this point...does anyone remember how shit-tastic Superman 4 was?) without Kirsten Dunst...that's fine with me. She does absolutely NOTHING for me as Mary Jane. They can easily recast her.

2.A--There was really no point in bringing Gwen Stacy in this movie. Once again, that's Sam Raimi thinking, "We need another female character in here besides Mary Jane. Mary Jane needs to start getting jealous of her dorky-ass boyfriend, even if he IS Spiderman."

3. Did anyone else thinking Peter Parker was acting a bit too fucking emo in this one? Oh, I loved how he started wearing all black after the symbiote took over his Spiderman costume. He looked like a frickin' member of My Chemical Romance!
"I'm NOOOOOOOT OOOOOO-KAAAAAAY! I'm NOT O-KAAAAAY-AAAAAY-AAAAY!"
Seriously? I was going to start cracking up by the end when Tobey Maguire let loose with the waterworks.

3.A--Although I will admit, I shed some tears after Harry Osborne died. I loved how that got resolved. Harry got his shit together, quit listening to his dead dad (it's like "Hamlet" all over again!), and helped Peter in the end. AND DIED THE SAME WAY HIS DAD DID.

4. Kind of long, really. They could've cut out some of that teaser proposal scene at the restaurant. They could've cut out some of that crap with Harry and Mary Jane. The way they kept stretching the ending out reminded me of the end of Return of the King.

5. The special effects in this one were outstanding, though. I especially liked the chase between Harry and Peter near the beginning of the movie before Harry got knocked out.

Spiderman 3 was good...but it could've been better.

....Now that LiveJournal is offering the option, I've been contemplating getting a new username. I wish MySpace offered this option; I hate what I chose for my MySpace profile name. (twaffles)
