Superman is an ASSHOLE! (the randomness of it all!)
Damn, it's been a while since I've gotten online! I've just had a lot of stuff to do in the last week or so since I've been online.
Last night, I decided I was getting bored with me as a blonde, so I dyed it back to light brown. I'm really not thrilled with the result; there's still a good amount of blonde peeking through, so I may go with a darker shade next time around in a month or six weeks.
*tangent* Onto the title post: "Why Superman Is An Asshole." Okay, so about a week ago, I went with Hunter & Kevin to see Superman Returns. Great movie, Kevin Spacey rocks my socks, & Brandon Routh is a hottie--no, SUPERhottie. But here's my rant about the movie, & for the purpose of not spoiling it for people who haven't seen it yet, I'm putting this behind an LJ cut:
I went back & rewatched the first two movies before I saw the new one (and basked in the hottness that was Christopher Reeve in his prime...what can I say? I'm a sucker for the dark-haired & blue-eyed guys). And especially after having watched the second one...he knocked up Lois Lane & took off. That's all I'm going to say. And Lois damn well knew that her kid was Clark's (unless she was messing around with any other guys around the time of Superman 2, but come on, Lois was pretty head-over-heels about Superman, I don't think there's going to be anyone else) & she didn't tell him. So what is it about keeping big secrets like this from people who deserve to know?! But you have to look at it through Lois' point of view. Like I said, HE UP AND TOOK OFF FOR FIVE YEARS. You think a baby gels well with Lois' lifestyle? Probably not, but she manages to make it work for her. And I know...Clark didn't know, probably didn't anticipate this happening, or that there might be a salvagable part left of Krypton. He's not an entire asshole...but still...could've at least let Lois know before he took off.
*tangent* So nothing works around the house! For the last few days, we were having problems with the computer & the Internet connection (which explains my absence online). But it didn't matter much because like I said--I've been busy anyway. Plus, I came home from work yesterday to discover that the lightbulb in my ceiling light has burned out. I tried taking it out to replace it, but here's what sucks. It's STUCK in there. So I can't mess around with it much until Dad can get home to fix it.
*tangent* Mike is trying to set me up with a friend of his named Chris. I have the guy's number, so I may give him a call tonight. :)
*tangent* As far as Rocky goes...I think it's safe to say that the end of it has come for me. I hate getting involved in cast drama, & besides, we're nearing the end of it all at the Crossroads anyway. It sucks, but you know...time for me to grow up & move on.
**related tangent** And it sucks because Shawn started showing trailers for Orgazmo and Cannibal! before the show. I at least got two good nights of Trey-goodness this weekend. *hee hee*
*tangent* I got a care package from Justice yesterday with this cute punk-Hello Kitty messenger bag. Now I have to send her a letter & her present. :)
