[The camera shows Shadow breathing heavily, blood matting in his fur. The worn-out hedgehog holds a red jewel in his hand that sparks violently, and the harsh sound of steel on concrete is plainly evident to anyone watching.]
Why is it... you don't...die?
[The threatening figure of Pyramid Head looms above Shadow. Snarling, Shadow curls himself into a ball of razor-sharp spines and shoots himself at his enemy, again and again. The humanoid monster shrugs off the attacks, and lifts its Great Knife, slamming it harshly into the ground. Shadow skates out of the way, but he looks tired; it's clear he's been at this for a while, and has had no success.]
...Resilient, aren't you? But I'll make you fall. Chaos Spear!
[Leaping backward, he raises the red gem and a blast of golden light thunders towards Pyramid Head--again, it does nothing.]
Darn... I don't understand. [But it hasn't worked the many, many times he's tried it previously, so he isn't surprised.
Everything dies. Everything. Even an ultimate lifeform can meet his end.
So why won't Pyramid Head?
He knows he can't keep this up much longer--the more Chaos energy he uses up, the weaker he grows--but he won't run away. He came here to defeat the unkillable monster, and he'll stop at nothing to do so.]
