Character Info:
Name: Haruya "Burn" Nagumo
Age: Somewhere around 14, presumably
Canon: Inazuma Eleven - anime
Pull Point: Between Seasons 2 and 3, just after the fall of Aliea Academy and before the FFI

Background Info:
History: As a small child, Haruya Nagumo never knew his parents. He grew up in an orphanage, and his only family was the other children, namely Shigeto Atsuishi, and then later on, Hiroto Kiyama and Fuusuke Suzuno. When he was nine, he became part of something called the Genesis Project. This project consisted of equipping the children with small pieces of the Aliea Meteorite in order to turn them into super soldiers (for playing soccer, nonetheless). The radiation from the meteorite made the children physically superior to others their age. Children from orphanages all across Japan were used.
After training for about five years, Haruya, then known as Burn, was placed as the captain to one of the top three teams created from children in the project. The teams began to collectively call themselves Aliea Academy. However, by this time, Haruya, Fuusuke (now known as Gazelle), and Hiroto (Gran) had drifted apart. Haruya and Fuusuke had become fierce rivals, and Hiroto became little more than a strained acquaintance to both.
For a short while, Haruya and the rest of his team, Prominence, found that they didn’t have to do much. However, soon it became time for them to take action.
Haruya himself first met the Raimon team in Okinawa. They had been searching for someone known as the Fire Striker, thinking that it might be their former teammate, Shuuya Gouenji. Haruya confronted two of the Raimon players, claiming to be the one they were looking for, despite not being Gouenji. To prove this, he challenged Raimon to a match. Afterwards, the Raimon captain, Mamoru Endou, was impressed with Haruya’s skill, offering him a place on the team, completely unaware that Haruya was actually the enemy. Before Haruya could accept or decline, he was interrupted by Hiroto, who revealed Haruya's identity and his motives. Sometime afterwards, Haruya approached Fuusuke with an offer the cool-headed Diamond Dust captain couldn't refuse. Both boys had heard that Hiroto’s team, Gaia, Aliea Academy's top team, had been promoted and received the title of Genesis. Both boys (But mostly Haruya) were enraged by this, feeling that they were just as powerful as Hiroto. The two of them combined the players of Prominence and Diamond Dust, to create a new team: The Chaos. The Chaos challenged Raimon to prove that they were indeed powerful. However, the match was stopped short by Hiroto. Fuusuke and Haruya disobeyed orders to create The Chaos, and were led away to be punished by their superiors. The punishment they received is unknown.
For about three months after the defeat of Aliea Academy, the children were sent home in order for them to readjust to living a normal life. Little information about this time period is revealed in canon; however, it can be safely assumed that Haruya, Fuusuke, and Hiroto reconciled to some extent. Anything taking place after this is generally irrelevant since this time period is his pull point.

Personality: The easiest way to sum up Burn? Hot-headed.

True to his nickname, Burn embodies a lot of the usual traits one would normally associate with fire. He's brash, determined, tempermental, loud and proud. However, fire can both harm and help, and Burn himself is no different. Brash, usually rude, sometimes judgemental, and occasionally rebellious, the "harmful" aspect of fire is rather obvious. He's quick-tempered and doesn't think things through well. Thinking things through was always Gazelle's thing after all. Burn tends to rely on instinct and luck, with a pinch of hope that things will work out in the end. That being said, he also tends to prefer brute force over strategy. He can be rather arrogant, and occasionally moody. His temper, when he's properly provoked, can be rather explosive, with angry outbursts that are often forgotten about later. When it comes to holding grudges against people, he does and yet at the same time, he doesn't. He's not exactly one to forgive and forget, but he won't hold something against someone long past its relevance (certain individuals being exceptions). Though he's a bit rebellious and has a relatively bad track record with authority, Burn's not in the habit of breaking rules.

However, around his friends and the people he regards as family (and especially those who are closer still), the warm, helpful side comes out. Burn is fiercely loyal and protective, caring, and generally more relaxed. He's willing to put anything on the line when it comes to his friends, and tends to act as a mother hen towards them at times, especially to his old team back at Aliea, namely, his best friend, Heat. He would go to the ends of the earth for his friends, and generally do just about anything to make them happy.

Burn's usually enthusiastic about everything he does, and will always put 110% into whatever he has to do. Ambitious and hardworking, he's always striving to improve himself. He can also be rather competitive when he's around the right people. He's not exactly the most selfless guy around, however, he's not completely selfish. He's a snarker to the core, however he knows how to sober up when things get serious. At his worst, he's nothing more than a rebellious attention seeker with little regard for anyone else, but at his best, Burn is a caring, steadfast friend for life.

Game Specific:
Arcana: Chariot
Justification: Burn has plenty of ambition and lots of perserverance. He's willing to put in all of his best effort to achieve a victory. However, he often gets so caught up in the means to lead to that victory that it can lead to a disregard for others and expectations that are far too high.

Samples:
First Person Sample: Oi, does this thing belong to anyone? I found it when I woke up and I know it's definitely not mine. If someone doesn't claim this thing, I'm turning it into some police office for the owner to find.

Now that that's out of the way, can I get some freakin' answers about this place? Like, uh, what the hell happened last night? What were those things that kept appearing?!

Third Person Sample: It was safe to say Burn had gotten used to life in Prospero. He didn't like it, but he was used to it. He had little attachment to the place or the people in it. Soccer practice had become a solo activity, and he often found his mind wandering to his friends from back home. He wondered how they were doing, whether they noticed he was gone... He wished he could see them again, especially Heat. The redhead paused from kicking his soccer ball down the sidewalk to glance at the sky.

A vivid red and orange sunset. Burn had never been one to notice such things, but even he had to stare in awe for a moment or so. Suddenly, he frowned, realizing something. He picked up his ball and began to hurry to his current place of residence (not home, it could never be home). He faintly wondered if similar events to the ones from last night would occur again tonight. There was only one way to find out.
