What a fascinating little animal!

[Signless is looking closely at the Eevee in his video screen. This is one decidedly not-crazy troll ancestor, Lea.]

Is that a Pokey Man?

[...It is so creepy to see someone who looks like Karkat but is smiling. so creepy- okay Lea is just an ass like that. After a rather bewildered set of blinks, Lea grins back. Arden is already squirming in his hands to lean close, nose twitching.]

Pokemon, yeah. They call these ones Eevees, but I named him Arden. Sooooo, you one of those ancestor guys, not-Karkat?

A Pokemon, my mistake.

[Signless grins at the friendly animal before turning his attention back to Lea.]

Yes, I'm Karkat's ancestor. You can call me Signless. Are you one of Karkat's friends?

Yeah. He's helped me out before and stuff. Nice guy. Yelly. But that makes it fun.

You like animals or somethin'? Since you kinda fixated on Arden right away, heh.

Very yelly. But a good child all the same.

I do, and another human showed me his Pokemon when I first arrived. How do they stay in the little balls?

I actually don't have a clue. They're not native to Radiant Garden, where I'm from. I actually got Arden because some trainers here had their pokemon breed, and I was lucky enough to get Arden's egg.

I don't even like keepin' him in a ball anyway. He gets along better with the Chocobos and runnin' wild and all.

[He gets asked that so often, you have no idea.]

Lemme show ya.

[Getting up now! And taking the SFC with him, although his hand mostly covers the camera. Moving to the backyard of the Nest... There's a whistle, and the sound of lots of heavy feet can be heard. When Lea readjusts the camera... The screen is full of different colored Chocobo faces peering curiously at the camera.]

[Kweh.]

Chocobo.

They're beautiful!

Well, they're mine, so of course they're beautiful!

[Technically Stein's. But. Shut up. Lea moves into the shot again.]

They're really useful and friendly once you get to know 'em. And the chicks have been growing up great!

Would I be allowed to meet one someday? Or would that make them nervous?

[Signless has no idea if they're used to trolls or not.]

Sure! Some of the Chocobos are still a little nervous, because, y'know, stuff-

[Vague handwave. Best not to explain Stein right now.]

-but I've gotten them used to things now, for the most part. Still a bit twitchy, but they're okay. You can come and visit whenever you want. I've moved a lot of them to the Nest.

Maybe not for a few days.

[He's still recovering; the trip down to the Plaza to get the Disciple ripped open a few wounds in his back, so he's been barred from leaving the apartment until everything is scabbed over.]

They're lovely, though. I definitely look forward to seeing one in real life.
