Cooooooool new stereo

Oh Baby! I just ordered an orgy of cooooool car stereo stuff! A Sony mp3 playing head unit that does visualizations like winamp - like a spectrum analyzer, sound waves etc. There's lots of those that do animations not triggered by the music, not this one. And some Infinity component speakers for the front and 6x9s for the rear deck. I have an old sub box from my last car that I haven't hooked up but I hope the 6x9s will be good enough... such a trunk hog. Back in college I had some component speakers and they were so amazing! Components are when the woofer and tweeter are seperate, you can put the tweeter more at face level and the stereo imaging is all of a sudden very good while the resonence of the bass remains good in the door. I remember my girl friend at the time and I talking about music all the time and when we got something new we'd have to hear it in the car because it sounded so good =)

I'm not looking forward to the installation though... such a pain in the ass. Disassembling the interior to hide the wires under the carpet and everything. And Honda... usually such great engineering but such a weird fuckin thing - for the keyless entry to keep working you have to keep the original radio in the car.... somewhere. They actually make special wire harnesses to go to the new one and the old one stashed behind the dash... madness I tell you! What the fuck where they thinking?

Now what tunes shall I christen this baby with? That will require careful consideration while I wait for Fed-Ex to come a knockin.
