"The traps are set, James" whispered Frank. James remained still as if he had not heard his partner. Finally after a moment he turned his head to Frank and asked, "Do you think this is a good idea Frank?" Frank hesitated for a moment before answering with a soothing "of course" , but it was too late. That brief second of hesitation was all James needed. Now he knew that even his cool-headed partner was worried. James knew in his heart that this their plan would never work, but that was James. He never beleived in anything, esecially himself. The one thing that James did believe in was Frank. Frank had been there for him through it all and had been the one person he could turn to when things got rough. So why now does he question his old friend, the same question that he has been running through his mind all night. Frank never showed any fear but tonight was different. Frank seemed scared in James' eyes and that meant that something was definetly not right. "Give it too me straight, Frank. Do you really think we are going to make it through this?". Frank replied in his calmest voice "You have nothing to worry about, now lets get up to the tower", and with that said they began their walk across the courtyard to the concrete tower built into the surrounding wall.
They were silent as they looked into the wilderness beyond the home. The moon was high and full and its light was reflected off of the short, wet blades of grass directly below them. James felt tired and his eyes were heavy with sleep. They began to close slowly as he drifted into short dreams of falling as he lost his balance. Frank grabed James by the shirt and reminded him that the quieter they are the safer they will be. James propped himself back up against the ledge of the tower and kept himself awake by thinking back to the sites he had seen not 6 hours ago. He remembered as if it was happening now. As he replayed the events in his mind he began to tremble from the cold or possibly the fear that had imbedded itself in him. He coundn't help wondering how things had gone so bad.
The steady, ear-splitting tone of the alarm and the blinding light of the sun creeping into his eyes via the window awoke James to a new day. He was nervous, as usual with the new day but he knew that in a couple of hours he and his partner would be rich men. He struggled with his sheets as he got out of bed and walked to the bathroom to get ready for the day. As he was feeling the cool water turn hot from the fauset his phone began to ring. He left the water rushing as he walked back to his bedroom to retrieve the cordless phone. He answered with a still groggy "Hello?". "Hey Jimmy", answered the voice on the other end. "Frank. Hey whats up man?" questioned James. "I'll be there to pick you up in about 30 minutes. Is that enough time?", asked Frank. "Yeah man, I'll see you in a few", replied James. "Alright man. Remember, in about 4 hours we are going to be rich." Frank said in a sing-song voice. All James could say was "yeah" and then hung up the phone and walked back to his awaiting shower.
"James I told you to stay awake man. This is serious. If they find out we are here then there is a possiblity that we won't make it out of here alive." Frank said in a pushy yet quiet voice. "I know and I'm sorry but I just can't believe this is happening." replied James. "I know friend, neither can I." Frank said in a voice never heard by James. It was that voice of disbelief.
I don't know where to go next and I am super bored so someone comment with the next part.
