I apologize if I come across as immature, self-centered, tactless, and obnoxious to you or anyone else. I applied as a mod specifically to focus on more administrative issues rather than player issues, and, while I am perfectly open and willing to answer any questions or concerns a player may have, I will do my best to resolve the issue, regardless of who it is.

When I am doing mod work I leave my own opinions of players out of it. When I'm not doing mod work I don't see why I have to stop being myself. I'm not about to act differently with my friends. My personality is open and blunt, and I am entirely aware of it, and am also perfectly willing to stop doing something if the person whose Plurk I'm in asks me to.

If you don't like me, I don't mind if you avoid me - there are other mods you can contact if you have a problem and would rather not speak to me about it. I won't take any offense! As a mod, I know I won't be able to please everyone. I knew there would people who would dislike me being made a mod and it actually made me debate whether I should apply or not.

But I wanted to help Promenade and I knew that I could, so I applied. It was a shock to me when I was chosen, since I assumed someone else would be picked. I am truly sorry if it makes you uncomfortable.

I want to do my best by this game, and I try to do my best as a moderator. Also, if you could direct me towards the behavior which made you feel uncomfortable (here, privately, or via the player complaints post) so I could try and fix it for next time, that would also be appreciated!

As an aside, if anyone has any issues whatsoever, they are encouraged to use the Player Complaint/Issues form instead of waiting for the community HMD! If you have a problem, we would like to know it as soon as possible. :)

I'm not going to direct you to the behavior as that would involve linking people's plurks, which is, if I recall correctly, against the rules in this game.

While I understand most of what you've said and thank you for such a reasonably response, I think you should keep in mind that as a mod your behavior reflects on the game as a whole - whether you consider yourself to be in that moment acting as a mod or not. I am not saying you need to stop being yourself, but that you should be aware that you are no longer a completely independent agent.

Saying that other mods can be contacted instead is also all fine and well, but as I personally know a lot of decisions and issues are dealt with by the mod team as a whole, it is not as cut and dry as that.

You're allowed to link them to us privately/in the Player Complaints thread! If you're really concerned about a persistent behavioural habit of mine I would welcome it, and I am always open to being contacted privately over AIM or PM as well if anyone ever has concerns about any of my actions.

Thank you for the suggestion, and I would just like to say that I do keep my status as a representative of Prom in mind at all times. I've actually stopped publicly speaking about certain things because of it, in fact. I am who I am, and I really am sorry if I make anyone uncomfortable, but I do my best to help maintain a good image for Prom in spite of any personality conflicts, or whatever else.

If anyone notices me doing something that would jeopardize Prom's reputation over Plurk, please feel free to private Plurk/PM/IM me to let me know and attempt to remedy the situation as quickly as possible. It would be greatly appreciated!

Finally, decisions and issues are run by all available moderators, yes, though there is generally always one 'main' mod in charge of an issue and/or complaint and communicating with the player(s) in question. So if anyone is uncomfortable coming to any of the other mods because they are uncomfortable with one, I really do hope they know that they will always be treated fairly no matter who they speak to or what they speak to us about.
