With the
Exile's reveal of the Queen being an impostor, the divide between Native and Foreigner has never been more clear.
The Natives are currently rioting - looting, vandalizing, fighting each other, and setting the occasional fire. The Guards have everything under control, however. Fires are put out quite promptly. Serious damage is scarce. Places of Solaces/Character Residences are perfectly safe...
...Largely in part to the temporary lock-down imposed on all Foreigners.
Characters are restricted to their Place of Solace/Residence and forbidden access to any areas of rioting. Should any character try to participate - whether to cause more trouble or to help the guards break things up - they'll find themselves unable to. An invisible barrier prevents them from entering the heart of the city, or getting too close the pandemonium.
The lock-down will be lifted once the rioting is over. This will be at approximately 5:00pm EST on Thursday November 24th.
If your character's Place of Solace and/or Residence is within the city they will be unable to leave it. Characters who live further away from the city's center will be able to exit to a certain degree, but be unable to wander too far from their home.
If your character lives near another character outside of the areas affected by rioting they are able to visit each other. If they live farther away, they'll be restricted to PORTAL communication only.
Additionally, if characters stop wearing their masks due to this incident, the punishment will be more severe than usual. In an attempt to keep order, Genero will be strict in making sure established laws are followed and will not hesitate to use rule-breakers as an example to others.
