[Today, Andrew Ryan has actually stepped out of his secured building to stand on the beach. He actually does this often, around evening-time.]

He's back. He knows this place.

More importantly, he knows that man. Above the sea? Out of Rapture? Strange, very strange, but he... he should pay his respects.

So he approaches. ]

[ryanizing]

[Ryan is almost startled by the sudden appearance of his old colleague, and takes almost a whole minute to look the surgeon over. ... Well then.]

Doctor Steinman. This is certainly a surprise.

[splicedsurgeon]

[ DOESN'T HE LOOK BEAUTIFUL ]

Mr. Ryan... The pleasure is mine. It has been far, far too long.

[ And he can see the improvements he would make to you, Andrew Ryan, but he still respects (fears) you too much to try and make them without your consent. ]

[ryanizing]

It certainly has. I'm both surprised and unsurprised to see you here, after your death.

[ Tenenbaum is not fucking amused by her sudden arrival here, so she's taking a smoke break nearby, arms crossed. She hasn't noticed you yet, Mr. Ryan. ]

[ryanizing]

[Well he notices you, crowing his beach of solitude and stuff. Ryan glances over in her direction for a moment. He recognizes that face, though it's certainly been a while since he's seen her.]

Doctor Tenenbaum. Hm. This place has no shortage of surprises.

[ She turns her head and inhales sharply, her grip on her cigarette tightening. Well then. ]

This is not, then, of your doing?

[He doesn't like you. Know that.]

Of course not. I've only been here a few months, myself.

[Don't mind him, he's just going to be standing nearby, taking in the sight of land meeting the sea at this evening hour.]

Now that's a sight to see, ain't it?

[Although Atlas hopes the sound of an Irish accent alone is enough to give Andrew Ryan sleepless nights, he is also banking on the theory that the bloody king of Rapture has no way of recognizing him by sight.]

[ryanizing]

[Oh, look. It's a random Irishman. Believe it or not, his mind does immediately jump to Atlas... because after seeing both Steinman and Tenenbaum recently, he's on edge about ghosts from his past. However, the king of Rapture appears to be at ease, and pushes the thought from his mind. Undoubtedly, Promenade has numerous Irishmen. He's been spoken to by strangers before.

Besides, having that damned rat here would be karma spitting in his face.]

It's certainly very calming.

Not until a few months ago. I was brought here as suddenly as you were.
