Rose was young. In fact, most would say she hadn't even begun to live her life and yet here she was, on the brink of death for the second time. It was hard, she realised, being a kid. It was hard and nobody understood. There were so many things she had wanted to do with her life before this stupid game.

She wanted to grow up, get a job, get married, have a family, and finally die along side her three best friends. The three that were all lost in this game with her. Cliche, maybe. But didn't everyone have cliched hopes and dreams sometimes? She was only a child still. If she had the chance to live a relatively normal life, things could have changed.

But there was one thing that she had done that she never wished she would have to experience again: losing a loved one when she could have helped them. The situation had played out twice already and to be honest, she could really go without it again. First her mother, the passive-aggressive alcoholic who tortured her daughter with statues and dolls of wizards in some mock attempt to please her. Or so she thought. She couldn't do anything to help her then, too caught up in herself and her goals to actually save the one person that had always been there for her even if she was a lush.

Then there was John. God tier or not, he still died when she was right there and she was too blind to do anything. Too filled with rage and hate and thus she fell along with him. Who would be next? Dave? Jade? There weren't many others to pick off that she was close to. If she could help it though, she wished to never experience that pain again.
