a week of thank yous.
i've become rather close with my professors this week.
1. had an argument with one professor. the assignment was so send your resume and cover letter in. so i did, on time. my mock interview was not until two weeks later, so i revised my cover letter and resume. (not too many revisions, just basically formating) so, he tells me that it was not the assignment and we should correct the first one. i tell him thats just ridiculous because why correct a resume that has another draft. i begin to go on about how this assignment is s'possed to help us and how if he used my old resume that it would not help me any. then i start talking about why we are taking this class and his job as a professor. i also tell him that this interview is real and it will happen next week. in the end, we used my latest draft.
2. my one professor was the head of the scat department. needless to say she is stressing most of the students out. our project this semester is really heavy and difficult and takes a lot of time. well the person i am s'possed to interview the week after spring break cannot be interviewed during our class time, instead can do it in the morning. so, i told her that it will be okay, that i will come at 8 am to do this interview on the day we come back from spring break. she thanked me repeatedly in an email.
3. we had a discussion today in my women studies class about a bunch of poems. i participated more than usual just because i really enjoyed all the works she gave us to read. at the end of class she thanked me for participating. i also checked my grade for our discussion and she gave me a 5 out of 4. i think i will get more interested.
needless to say, my professors are crazy.
also, while walking into my dance class today i said hi to one of the girls in my class ...
she says,"OH MY GOD! i had a dream about you last night!"
i replyed, "yeah, i have that effect on people."
and that was that.
my week. it's only wednesday. spring break starts now.
