Re-watched Gokusen 2 ♥
The first time I watched it I was a bit out of it since It sometimes took me even months to watch the next episode, I kept forgetting where I was and watching other series as well while I was still in the middle of it. A lot happened and my mind wandered a lot while I was trying to watch so I pretty much lost all the threads. But now I took the time to really watch it again and I must say I'm happy.
...Although I had no recollection about episode 8. I must've accidentally skipped it when I first watched the series... Well, now I've seen it and remember it and I loved that episode and it taught me a lot about Hayato so I'm happy 8< This was all worth it.
I actually love the idea and concept of Gokusen, all the lessons it teaches, how it shows how important our environment is for what we become, how much authorative people affect us. It's nice to see the students grow and learn, gain loyalty and learn to appreciate things. Find and accept themselves as they are. It's fun to watch and it's easy to relate to the characters and fall in love with them (not romantically, you get the idea). I really like everyone.
Of course Hayato, how passionate he is. Hot-headed, short-tempered, prideful and somehow loving and caring, even though he does his best to hide it. He's just a big softie inside, but he has to create that strong and independent side for himself so he can face the world with a straight posture.
Ryu, who's actually intelligent and understands others well, listens to them and really sees through the surface. But he's afraid to really speak his mind, locking everything up inside of himself, afraid to let loose. He's calm and collected, appearing strong and just fine even though he really isn't. He's just trying to figure out who he is, what he thinks and gain courage to really voice his thoughts. He actually often throws the most sincere and intelligent remarks, yet he does it while being a bit detached from the centre of the attention. I think it tells a lot about him.
Take, how caring and loving he is. He reminds me of a puppy - he's loyal and people around him are really important to him. He has normal dreams, normal values and he isn't as hot-headed as others. He isn't as strong. But in the end, he can gain courage, he can go and stand by his friends' side and take a bad beating for things he holds dear to himself. He softens the atmosphere.
Tsucchi... I like him. He hides himself behind his jokes, his aggressiveness. I can't explain it. He's actually really strong, possibly stronger than the others.
I respect Yankumi. I wish all teachers could be like her, believe in their students, cheer them on and see through the façades we make. ...Although sometimes I really wish not, because a teacher like her could also be damn annoying XD Always sticking her nose in other people's business.
And Tetsu and Minoru~ Haa, those always make me laugh. And Sawatari's faces.
Anyway, I loved re-watching it. And I think every actor and actress in it is damn talented. And they must've had a lot of fun on the set... Sometimes I wonder how they can not just burst out laughing. Respect the cast!
