Hello world!
I've arrived in Amsterdam. Borrowing my host's internet connection for a bit.
I vastly underestimated the temperature both in Helsinki and over here. I nearly died of
heatstroke even after taking off my jacket. :P
Also, the ticket machines at Schiphol airport were apparently too good for my cards and
coins, and after buying a ticket from the counter I nearly didn't find the train. Oh, and I
nearly tore my arm off pulling my suitcase over cobblestones and tram tracks.
AND I forgot my camera, but I'm a shit photographer so it's not a massive loss.
But other than that, my trip went well. I fucking love flying, not least because it gives me
a nice sense of superiority. Apparently something about airports turns some people into
shambling, illiterate idiots.
The people here seem pretty nice! I think I managed to not look like a massive twat, which
was a nice surprise.
