No one can see Truth. We only see experience of Truth, which is only a glimpse from each one's unique time-space point of view. What then are values but personal opinions, whether they be arbitrary or concluded from personal experience or inherited via personal relationships with a tradition or religion? What then are principles but solidified personal opinions about values?
So should morality between individuals be imposed on all from one ruling body? To me, it is thinkable, even in principle, to realize the shortcomings of knowledge. And to respect that, through ignorance of Absolute Truth, we establish havens for those who see their side of it, to live among kindred spirits. So that we, who believe as we do, can have a home too.
