Upcycling
A former schoolmate shared this link with me when the project started (about a month ago) and I completely forgot to share it with you I guess... . Since I personally find it to be a very good idea and an interesting project (and since it lives on sharing and participation) - here it is now:
We Upcycle dot com
The process of "upcycling" describes the use of waste or thrown away material for the creation of new products, art or "personal treasures". They create and present one product of discarded material each day. It's amazing what one can make out of old plastic bags, cans, bottles, windows, styrofoam and, of course, Nespresso capsules.
As I have mentioned before, the project lives on participation!
Participants from all over the world can get a feature of their own project made of discarded material. The blog was planned to present 30 things by the creators but is prolonged by one day for each guest project.

* Scarfs made out of old T-Shirts
* Tube for transporting drawings
* Bags and Cases made of ironed plastic bags
* Light bulb vase
