My quote and other things.

what up?

I got a ton of techno music last night. Pretty excited for that. I've been listening to techno ever since. Brings back good memories.

Friday night, headed over to a friends house for a bit. Should be pretty fun, i feel like i haven't done that in forever. I usually work at the club Friday and Saturday nights, but managed to work some magic and looks like its gonna pay off :).

I could use a break anyhow, this week has been hectic. I'll get some pictures posted on here eventually, but its on my list of things to do. Right after washing all 5 days worth of my laundry. eh.
Not looking forward to that.

Also coming back to LJ i've realized that i should add some new friends. No one's been posting at all. Maybe LJ is just dying out underneath the huge flame of facebook. But i think i like LJ better for this sorta thing.

Different mediums i suppose.

I came up with a thought in the shower today as i was pondering on my MUCH younger years.

"Imagination is often times lost with the acquisition knowledge;
but if you can manage to hold on to both, that's when creativity is born"
-Me

It makes a lot of sense to me. When i was little my imagination ran totally wild, i remember one time in particular when one of my babysitters said she got a new sandbox we could play in and for some reason i thought that meant that there was a box we could be beamed into to play in.

That's what i mean about imagination, anything was possible. But the more you learn, the less imaginative things are, imagination is replaced with factual knowledge and the saddening fact that most of that stuff just isn't real. But for those who can still imagine once they acquire knowledge, those are the ones who create space travel, the airplane, microwave ovens.

i know i probably didn't need to go into that much detail with it, i just wanted to share my point of view.

in any case feel free to quote me, just make sure to give credit where its due.

Have a great weekend.

~Mike
