(no subject)
Wow, this weekend has been a little crazy but lots of good stuff has happened. Lets see.. on Friday Charlie, (day time cook) she was running around grabbing peoples butt and grading them on how there butt was.. lol, I have no idea what made her start doing that.OR WHY? Kinda crazy. But most everyone got B's , a- ha someone even got a c! But she gave me a A+ I was the only one too. ha! it was nice. kinda made me feel better about myself. Hell , its not everyday that someone says u got the best butt at work. come on? Really though, it was funny, but cute.
So then that night, we had two very large party's going to come in. On there menu for both party's they had 3 items to pick from and two of the items were mine , but here's the twist, both menus were different so I had 4 items I had to prep tons of PLUS Reg dinner service. 160 people came in, it was a long night. After I did my weekend ordering and finished cleaning up I didn't clock out till 12:03! yikes.
SO, Sat - I get to work about 2ish, walk in, getting my stuff ready to prep and my boss Paul pulls me aside and says he wants to talk to me.. so im like.. ok shoot..
He says I did a really really amazing job last night (Friday) He said he couldn't have done it any better, all my food taste great, I had back ups and everything ready. He was really proud of me and I rocked. I think he went on for like 10 mins telling me what A great job I was doing. Then he says He talked about it with Mo and that they were going to my my name on the menus with there's. Witch to me, is a big honor because I know they wouldn't just put anyone's name on it.. and them to see how hard I have been working means a lot. It rocks. That made my night. Then mo (pauls wife/chef as well) pulled me aside and told me what a great job I've been doing too. I think they best part was.. well, she sometimes I think she that she's gods gift to cooking and she was putting me in the same group as her saying I was a great cook. She prob went on too for about 5 min's and then someone came in and wanted to buy a gift card.. so we were rudely interrupted but,, I caught her drift. :) yay. It was great.
