So, it's already Wednesday and I have yet to make any sort of update about last weekend or about this first half of the week at all. I suppose I should do that..
Last Friday was kind of really crazy. Jamie had picked me up from school, as always. We ate and hung out for a little while before he had to pick up Laney at play practice and Matty at his house. I decided to stay back at his house and take that nap I had really been hopeing to get.
I woke up around 6:45, Jamie still wasn't home...Which didn't make a lot of sense. I called him on my cell phone since I had luckily given it to him and asked where he had been. He said first about Laney-her practice was an hour longer than he he was told it was. Then he explained that he ended up staying a little bit longer at Matt's house because Nancy had wanted them to see the news. Sadly, she wanted them to watch the news because a long time friend of Jamie and Matt's older brother, Mike, had been shot and killed in Steubenville earlier that afternoon. I was pretty shocked to hear the news, naturally. And, though I didn't know the guy (Preston) very well at all, it still was a bit depressing.
After sitting around Jamie's room for about half an hour longer, Matt and Jamie walked into the room. Matt was upset and in tears, which I expected. We all had a group hug and later smoked in Preston's memory.
This was one of the more depressing nights I had witnessed in a while. The entire feeling of the night reminded me so, so much of the day we lost Oliver. The event just made it all seem to fresh, like it had just happened yesterday. It felt horrible, to say the least.
Saturday I woke up around 8:45 to get ready for an early trip to Robinson. Eventually Jamie also woke up and around 10:45 we (Mom, Jamie, and I) picked up Kree and headed up.
It was nice actually having a pretty nice sum of money to spend in Robinson, since I rarely have the luxury. We spent a while up there just spending away mom's tax money. I looked around a bit for a prom dress...Of course I have found nothing I like better than the incredibly expensive one I loved at Fabian's. That makes me angry.
After leaving the mall we dropped Kree off at work, then we headed back to house where Jamie and I left from to go to his. That night Brandon, Shae, and Devon came over and hung out for a while. Later in the night we went to Deric's house and hung out with Megan Jarvis, Ruby, and him for a while. We didn't leave there until almost 1:00..I think. Jamie and I took everyone home and the two of us stayed at his house.
Sunday was pretty simple, but nice. Jamie and I hung out at his house for the most part of the day. Later we spent about the last hour of our time together at my house.
Monday I didn't go to school because of my mom's wedding. I ended up getting my hair cut in the morning (wich felt great since I needed it so badly) and the rest of the day was basically passing time until getting ready for the casual wedding.
The wedding itself went pretty quickly, since it wasn't a very big event in the sense of "fanciness." After everything was finished and we said good bye to everyone who came we (Kree, Keith, mom, Kree's grandparents, my brother, Kree's brother, Kelly, Kyle's friend, Jamie, and me...I think that's all) went to Lancelots. I was pretty sad to find out we were going to Lancelots, but since Keith was paying, there wasn't much we could complain about. But, after getting my food, I saw that Lancelots lived up to it's old reputation of typically shitty food that I absolutely hate. I got a roast beef sandwich and mashed potatoes-both covered in 14 feet of gravy wich you could tell had been sitting since it had gathered that "skin." The potatoes were obviously instant and the worst I had ever had in any restaurant...Not to mention, they came slightly chilled in the middle.. Jamie was unhappy with his meal also. We both were pretty glad to leave and stop eating that horrible excuse for food. Fuck Lancelots. For real.
Jamie and I left the dinner early to pick Matt up so we could all see Mike's new house before it was too late. When we got to Mike's, I have to say, I was pretty impressed. He and Brianne really have a nice place. We hung out there for a few hours, just generally "chillin'." It was actually nice. Mike has seemed to at least lost a pretty decent amount of his old attitude that I wasn't really crazy about. Stangely it seems like he has "grown up" since I had met him for the frist time.
We left Mike's at about 9:30 and I was taken home.
Tuesday I went back to school and found out that algebra had entered a totally whole new world when I missed that one day. I went to restitution for two hours after school with Ruby. We actually got to talk the whole time, which was cool.
After restitution, Todd gave me a ride to Jamie's where I hung out for the rest of the day with him and Matty. I was taken home a little ealier than usual, but it was a'ight.
Today was also a'ight. School was pretty neat and I had an especially social day, wich is a major plus for me. After school I just came home, where I took a nap and cleaned up my room...Finally. It's been a pretty plain day, but good nontheless.
