bummed!
I just wanted to pop on here and let you all know that at 7 this morning I was admitted into the ICU here and my local hospital. I woke up this morning at 5am to get ready for work and something did not feel right. I looked in the mirror and my face was bright red and swollen as were my lips. I continued to look and I noticed the entire upper half of my body was covered in hives. Turns out I am having a severe allergic reaction to the meds my doc put me on last week. I'm hooked up to an IV because I am dehydrated and have also received morfine (sp?), steroids, benadryl and something for inflamation all through my IV. I'm exhausted but I can't sleep for anything. My parents just brought me Quiznos and some chocolate. I feel so loved. Doc said I MIGHT be able to go home tomorrow. Hopefully my fever will finally break. I will keep you all posted. I'm going to try and get some sleep before Big Brother comes on.
