Ah, that's an interesting observation - I guess the guitar is sort-of somewhere between Metallica's "One" and something from Cure's "Disintegration".

Disintegration would have been a good name for the photograph.

You said that you were aiming for upbeat but it morphed? I noticed that your voice has a raspy kind of achey sad tone in most your songs. I like the contrast.

Yes, it was /supposed/ to become more upbeat. But I never got to the part of the song where I was going to bring in a faster drum beat - haha. I think I ran out of ideas.

hahah. i need it to step up and become all atari, bleep and beeps - but I couldn't figure out how to make the transition in the song. i always run out of ideas after the verse or the chorus, which leads to something incomplete. i'm going to try to work on it more though. back in chicago any time soon?

hmm...i doubt i will be. unless independence air holds another crazy sale that makes it ubercheap for me to fly there again! but i like to keep rotating destinations so i get to visit other places too.

maybe you could do a duo set-up...you come up with chorus, and someone else comes up with the rest of the lyrics...a good project for rex and you.
