Lydia, as well as a few others, know that Dell was having a sale on notebooks. Well, almost everyone knows I've been wanting one and to sell my system.
It's happened! I went through Dell mostly because of Derek. We've been pricing computers in every way... changing specs, waiting for deals, finding coupons... you name it. Well, finally they had a deal on their XPS system. (I'm sure Derek can give more in-depth details :p) The deal had the XPS m170 for $1,349. Now, like I said we had been pricing thise stuff for awhile. The system would have been almost $2,300 before. So, Derek is starting to drool over it...
Dell's deals also don't last forever. So, I almost jumped at my mother about this. It helped ALOT that it was also 18 months no interest on all XPS systems. I think that was what got her. Needless to say I will be getting a very nice package in the mail in a week or two.
Now, Derek had been deflated, but that is fixed now. By selling all his electronics, and he has a fair few, he is also getting an XPS m170 (as of 20 minutes ago). So, yes we will have matching notebooks.
Now all I need is a case and possibly a port. I have spilled way too many things on my keyboard.
