we finally played a show

yey last night was superthon. dtf played. it was amazing. the whole like 3 weeks before it we were dealing with drummer shit because im assuming that our real drummer is erich who is up in herkimer right now. but anyway we tried so many times to schedule a practice but it never worked and we couldnt really play the new songs last night. but anyway... it was a fucking awesome show. 24 hours later, my neck and upper back are killing me. before we played i took like 4 excedrin so that i didnt get a headache. and because overdosing on painkillers is the cool thing to do before you play a show. nah. but we played. 930 in the auditorium. we obviously didnt win because were the least liked band in this entire school, we didnt even sound check (they didnt give us time to) whatever thats the hardcore thing to do. so uhh i used tom deplito's half-stack to amplify my guitar and at the end of our first song (french harley) the head falls backwards off the cabinet and unplugs from the cabinet and for all u non-guitarists out there, all the cords unpluged = no sound coming out of the amp. so it fell backwards onto the floor because the palm muting was so heavy that it just vibrated off backwards even out of the little slots it was held in. but that was pretty cool i guess. jj ran on stage and put it back together for me. i felt kinda bad and hope it didnt break or anything. yep so our set list was :
-intro
-french harley
-evolution
-wife of bath
-war in regret
-absent faith (the joey dina song)
yea broke a string on war in regret so i had to change some parts on stage. vinny played drums with us for the whole set for the first time since the church show in like november? i dunno. he did good especially since he was basically making up the parts to the new song (absent faith [the joey dina song]). so just wanted to tell all y'all bout last night. and figured id update since my last entry was about someone dying and it happened during like the end of basketball season a long time ago. uh so dare to forget is amazing, ask anyone who saw us play, we went fucking nuts. our stage presence was by far the best, who cares about how it sounded. it was mikes first show and he did good, he wasnt just standing there which was a good thing. so uhh bye
