So, I had a chance to review again information that I posted about Pete Domenici retiring his seat which someone replied that he was not in Albuquerque's district. He is in fact the U.S. Senator representing New Mexico in Washington and his seat will of course be subject to a state wide vote.

So once again, I urge you to think about voting in the future as a republican leaving an open seat in the senate could have a strong effect on the movement of our government. Pick whatever side you'd like, but pick one. Oh, and Domenici apparently retired in time to dodge an ethics probe.

PS - Good for Domenici though, at least he voted to stop Bush's veto against SCHIP(money to give medical insurance coverage to children whose family doesn't count as poverty but still can't afford it). BTW, the veto was not knocked down. Don't know about you, but increasing the cost of tobacco for children's health is alright in my book, and I'm currently a smoker. Of course Republicans will argue that it's the path to socialized medicine. Although wouldn't that include, oh, I don't know, police, fireman, schools.(yes I'm stealing from Sicko)
