[Ling has also changed his choice in fashion, but he just settled for an Amestrian uniform. Kangaroo suit? That's different. When she hops by, he looks rather perplexed.]

You want petted?

[ Oh! Hey! It's the man that she cooked for previously. Well, Ling, now it's time to repay the favor. ]

Yes, please! I've been feeling impulses to be petted all week but now I just can't take it anymore! [ She skipped out on training just for this very important purpose.. She gets into position, which involves somewhat lowering herself so an arm can travel around her faster. ]

I tried but then it's like my body and my mouth gained a mind of its own. [ It's an odd favor, but at least it's easy to repay besides something ridiculous and tedious like weapon shining duty. ]

[ Tenten's slouch increases and she crosses one foot in front of the other after a brief, short, jump. After this, she does recline though. ]

Yeeaah, but I guess I don't really mind it. It feels pretty good to be petted. [ Indeed, there's almost a purring sound that's escaping her lips, but, upon further inspection, it's just a really low, choppy, sigh. ]

I have a feeling you won't feel that way in a few days. [And Ling really shouldn't encourage it, but how often does he get to scratch a pretty girl under her chin?]

I'll cross that bridge and blame the likely culprit when I arrive there. [ Ling should totally encourage it... After all, she's only getting what she wants! She's just lifting her chin now because she really really wants those pets and Ling is taller than her anyways.

[This is among the most ridiculous and adorable things Ling has ever done. Somehow he can't feel bad about it.]

[ If Tenten had any sort of free will when it came to her choice of fashion ware or past times, this scenario would only occur in a hangoveresque setting. She begins to slightly step back, while making sure his hand is in range to lead him back to the fountain for more petting. Unfortunately, this comes off to any sort of spectator as some weird rain dance that's based on shuffling and a hand fetish. ]

Hm. I bet the fountain is a great place to sit!

[Ling is well aware of how weird this looks! Just wait until Ran Fan catches up with him to find this. Tenten, he is sorry for the knife in your back. After maneuvering over to the fountain, Ling sits down and places a hand on top of Tenten's head. If only Maes was around to get a picture.]

It's a little cold, but you're right, this is better!

[ Tenten is a ninja. Hopefully she wouldn't be caught off guard and shanked. Though, with her being totally focused on Ling, it is certainly plausible. She just grins as she nods, very, very, very excited. Her excitement surpasses anything Pinkie Pie could ever manage. ]
