the new Blue Beetle
I wanted to hate it so bad... but it was soooooo damn good I just couldn' t. Now we're 25 issues in and its the best fucking book on the market. God rest him but if Kord has to stay dead for this book to keep going then I think I can live with that. when it first started I was all angry that they killed off my favorite character just to replace him with a teen-aged minority. But ohhh God damn I was wrong, it'll grab you by the balls in the first few issues and proclaim 'I am totally fucking awesome! You have no choice now to admit it!' and it's right!
Number 25... ohhh man! It topped last months number 24 which was like the best single in the past year! This shit is blowing me away in the sheer amount of awesomeness it has going on in it! Seriously, its a triple serving of action with a second helping of comedy and to top it off it's seasoned with nostalgia.
Number 24 had nonstop thrills and seriously the most awesome cliffhanger ever! Not a 'ohh shit, fuck that!' cliffhanger or a 'no way! i have to wait a whole nother month to find out' cliffhanger, but a 'jesus christ that was so fucking cool! they can't top it, but i'd love to see em try' cliffhanger. And issue 25 picks up right after number 24. Where 24 was nonstop thrills, 25 was nonstop action to the fucking max!
If you even have the slightest interest in SciFi or just plane love comic books, check out the new Blue Beetle series. I can't see you being disappointed at all with it!
