So many body parts are sore at the moment … why is that? It’s been hours since working out … but still, they’re tired and sore.
Bicycle crunches, go. V-ups, go. On your hands and knees, bird dogs (alternating sides), go. Back extensions, go. Repeat entire circuit, 2 more times. In the second and third times, sort of double time it with as little time in between exercises as possible. Also, on the bird dogs, stay on one side only for a while, then switch to the other side. Relax.
Next circuit: Get a medicine ball. V-sits with rotations, elbows in, holding the medicine balls. Sit legs extended in front, hold the ball straight up overhead (this always sounds easy, but is really harder than it sounds). Lie down, feet in the air, hold the ball straight up, jackknifes. Feet on the floor, hips in the air, ball straight in the air, keep your knees bent, alternate bringing in one knee towards the ball, then the other. Front planks, on elbows. Supermans. Repeat whole circuit, except second time, for the hips/knees in, when you bring your knee in, straighten your leg out as well as you can, then bring it back to the floor and extend the other the same way. Relax.
Third circuit: Sort of the same as the second one, except instead of front planks, do side planks but bring your overhead arm down and reach around (I had never done this, so was having a little difficulty). On the last exercise, do roll ups with legs spread apart, and alternate reaching for toes, doing a full stretch.
Cool down stretches: knees to chest, extend one leg, then the other. Glute stretches. Hip flexor stretches. Chest stretch. Oblique stretches. Boom you’re done.
Conversational topics today: pizza (what else?), salmon, sushi, potatoes, photobombs, how many times Chris checks his fine self out in the mirror at any given point in the day, how many hours Chris works per day, whether he had more clients when he wore spandex all the time, that he's been in the business for 10 years and loves what he does … yup, all in all, a good week.
