This Carver... is he someone important to you?

They have my wife here, and refuse to let me see her. They've done something to her.

She's...my jailer. But on a good day I could be pressed into admitting that she is not without redeeming qualities.

In this way, she is considerably different from my current jailer.

Who are you?

...An interesting relationship.

I am Oswald the Shadow Knight. And with whom do I speak?

You speak to Reynardine the Great. Are you trapped in here as well, Oswald the Shadow Knight?

For the time being, but I do not plan on staying. I will not be kept here indefinitely.

Then you have a way out?

...Not exactly. But I have been in worse situations before.

I've always admired human ingenuity.

To free myself and my wife is my goal... but after that I am uncertain. I am unfamiliar with this land, 'tis certainly no place in Erion.

How do you know? If your cell is like mine, we have no windows. We could be in "Erion" or even still in the Court, for all we know.

...This land cannot be Erion, for Erion is no more. I watched my homeland sink into the sea.

Oh. Um...

Yeah, that'd do it.

...

It matters not. Everything I need is right here.

You are from this Court?

Gunnerkrigg Court and Gilitie Wood, two sides of the same coin.

This place just reminds me more of the Court.

I can't imagine it's a very pleasant place, if this prison reminds you of it.

Some parts of it are more pleasant than others, but I'd rather be in Gilitie Wood, all told.
