[001] - VOICE

Dec 07, 2010 14:06

This is a lot like a science fiction movie.

[Huey keeps his voice light, casual, as best he can. He needs information more than anything.]

Alright, so lets hypothetically assume this to be the "real" world. If all of the past turned out to be false - remember, this is hypothetical - then that would indicate that I had a past here. Logically, those memories would still be there - your mind never actually loses information, it just develops trouble finding it. So that means that I should know this place.

[There's the sound of mechanical footsteps as the chair cleverly rises up steps. Then there's only silence from the chair.]

So say that, hypothetically, there was someone I knew in the memories that those pamphlets and people claim are false. Does that mean that they exist here as well? Or that they don't exist at all? But even if the memories were true, it wouldn't change the reality. The reality of now is that I'm here. Even if there's two possible realities for the past, most people will go with the one they remember the clearest. But the fact is... the past doesn't matter too much when you're confronted with something like this.

Hey, if this place has been decimated, does that mean it's gotten rid of all the wildlife too? I gotta say, it'd be a pity if there weren't any snakes around.

[Huey is being surprisingly cautious. If someone brought him here for the wrong reason, then they might be listening in.]

Also, guys, if this was a movie, I'd have to say the special effects were incredible. I mean, did you see that place back there? Absolutely fascinating.

[There may or may not be a note of excitement in his voice. Because holy shit, this is just like in the movies.]
