It's this mundane appearance that, oddly enough, makes it all the more outstanding.]
Good day. It's rather chilly this afternoon, isn't it?
Expeditions to sector 31 have been set back significantly due to nuclear dust storms and several reported bandit raids, however the damage seems to be marginal without any casualties, which means imports from Sacramento will be delayed by approximately two weeks. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and offer our sincerest apologies to those businesses that were expecting their supplies to arrive within the week. Those of you who've been compromised by this can contact my office to see if we can work out some sort of temporary compensation. The Imago want to see our cities and their trades flourish and prosper, not be intercepted by a few wayward souls that chose to abandon this country rather than help save it.
On another more pleasant note, Line 4 is making significant progress; construction should be completed by the end of the year, after we arrange the necessary - relocation. [Ahem.]

While it is unusual for the system to release quite so many in such a short amount of time, our technicians report that there have been no malfunctions or otherwise troubling concerns when it comes to the SE. Everything is working as it should be, so there is no need to worry about the current state of our city. Please refrain from calling the government's line; the Mayor is a busy man and has no more knowledge regarding the SE than what has already been disclosed. [You can almost hear the very cordial smile.]
To our Awakened, I hope you will find yourselves able to adapt to your old-new environment. The fact that you do not remember this city as it has been before our country was devastated by the Catastrophe may either be a curse or a blessing to you; however, it is still your home and has always been, as hard as that may be to believe for you right now. In due time, you will understand why we did what we did in order to save your lives. You are no less valuable than any other citizen of this city, and we sincerely hope that you will find it in yourselves to love your native country again as you did in the past and help us restore it to what it was meant to be.
