--There we go. I think. [his voice comes in tinny for a few seconds until the audio begins smoothing itself out.] Funny thing about technology: the more advanced it is, the more bugs it has. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like carrying around a big, cumbersome computer on my wrist, but they could have at least fixed some of the tinier details. [pauses, then as an idle afterthought:] And added more games. I kind of like the one where the little blobs chase you as you eat the dots.
[huffs a tiny little sigh, something creaking in the background that sounds like mattress springs. minor activity that sounds very much like rummaging can be heard, and when he continues to speak, you can get the feeling that this is all done over his shoulder.] That zoo opened today, right? I guess it'd be fun to go to, but I can't imagine who'd want to at this point. Ignoring the fact that money is a little scarce for most of us, wouldn't going to place filled with monsters be sort of...dangerous? Yeah, they're in cages, but I dunno -- if something wants out of a prison bad enough, they'll find a way out. 9 out of 10 times. [idly, good natured] Kinda like us, right?
Now, on the other hand, that Halloween party looks pretty rad. I guess holding our own would be redundant at this point, right? Too bad. Ours would have been better, but I'm sure me and Sonic can still think of a good holiday to throw a right awesome bash on. Like -- like Thanksgiving. Or -- ah...maybe Valentine's Day. [YOU HEARD NOTHING.] Yeah, I don't think anyone has a monopoly for parties on those days.
