The drive toward Halen with Mister Giles was long, but at least we had several topics we could discuss. I couldn't help but shake the feeling that the man was worried about project Halen. Though about what exactly I couldn't figure out. He seemed to keep those a secret, if you will. Not wanting to tell me what his problems with the project were, I ( Read more... )

Running got old after a few minutes of it and I realized I was getting sweaty and that's not a great way to greet visitors. So I walked the rest of the way to the parking lot, I smell two men before I see them. One was still sleeping in the car and the other was stretching. Throwing up my defenses, I had no idea who these men were, and for all I know they could be dangerous. I wasn't as skilled at reading people like Willow and Oz were. My wolfy was suspicious of everyone ( ... )

I looked up startled when suddenly a girl appeared to my left. She had this air over her that told me right away she was one of the compounds inhabitants. A werewolf. And she didn't look all that comfortable. Werther that was because she was what she was and trying to cope with that or something else, I didn't know.

Glancing back at Giles still asleep in the car, I sigh. I suppose I should wake him up. It would be very awkward for him to wake up and find himself alone in the car. Not to mention that it was a little too cold for sleeping out doors, even in a car.

"Errr...hello," I nod at her as she looks at me suspiciously. Something tells me that she's going to jump if I even try to shake her hand or something. So instead I give her a little wave and a polite smile. "I'm Wesley Wyndam-Pryce, and the one in the car soundly asleep is Rupert Giles. Willow is occupied?"

Damn, I had hoped to meet with her right away. Her enthusiasm was always so very uplifting. Plus, after al that time on the phone, I was looking forward to seeing her

"Errr...hello,I'm Wesley Wyndam-Pryce, and the one in the car soundly asleep is Rupert Giles. Willow is occupied?"

He waved at me and I could tell that I was making him uncomfortable. After thinking for a moment I found that he didn't seem at all threatening and I toned down my wolf a bit. No need to freak out the visitors.

"Nice to meet you Wesley. Um yeah, Willow is busy tending to a couple of the other...members of the community. So I guess it's my job to bring you back to the main house, I figure that you are staying for more than the day...so I'll show you where you will probably be sleeping and Willow and Oz will join you when they get the chance. So I guess...wake up the other guy then follow me."

I smiled slightly at him and waited for him to get to it. This is not my idea of fun...especially not on a day like I have had so far.

We've waited long enough. I'm moving Giles along _wes_pryce_ January 21 2005, 19:10:23 UTC
"Oh...right...err...thank you." Turning around, I glance at Giles still in the car, sleeping. Sighing, I open the door and lean over to shake him awake gently. "Mister Giles? We're here, I think now might be a good time to wake up?"

He looks up startled and I can't help but hide a smile behind my hand. Clearing his throat, he quickly combs a hand though his hair, glancing behind me at Miss Ryann, giving her a polite nod.

Closing the car behind me, I watch as Giles gets out, straightens his clothes and introduces himself to Miss Ryann. "Well," I start, walking over to where they are. The girl still looks very uncomfortable, I guess she's not used to play the hostess. "Now that we're all introduced? Why don't you show us to...err...where ever it is we're supposed to be going Miss Ryann."
