He did sip the beer, which was the polite thing to do. New pack member was male and not too thrilled about changing into a beast three nights a month. Surprise, surprise. Half the pack had been the same way when they'd arrived, couple of them were never going to be at peace with what lurked within.
Dreams? He'd dreamt about the new guy? I raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything. Bet Willow knew he could see things. Inger was starting to fidget more, and I could tell he was getting nervous. Didn't need to be a wolf to see that. Wasn't even sure what to say to make him relax.
I stood up when he did. Something had spooked him, and I didn't have a clue as to what it was. Gave him a friendly smile while he headed out. My senses went nuts, trying to figure out what was wrong. But I couldn't feel, hear, or smell anything abnormal. Maybe Inger was just odd. I had a deer to slice up anyways. Grabbing my knives from near the sink, I went out the back door to where the deer was hanging.
