I decided that the orange film I had gotten earlier was too "pale" and flat when viewed under direct sunlight, so I have ordered some light smoked film. It probably won't be very visibly different from stock, but it should still provide some protection and also will not block as much light as other films would. The MetroDecals website specifies that it has 92% light transmission. The dark smoke from MetroDecals would have 78% light transmission and smoked films from other vendors would likely be darker and have an even lower light transmission.
