2009.08.08 - RS Active Headlights (Pt. 4)
- Took a test drive
- Re-aimed headlights
- Re-painted glare guards
I took a test drive and compared the the lights with and without the glare guards. I like them better without the glare guards (as it makes them brighter) but I did get flashed once when they were off, so I decided to go ahead and keep the glare guards on as a courtesy to other drivers. It almost seems pointless sometimes though, considering I passed at least 8 cars with one or both headlights aimed so poorly that they were blinding to me. But... I guess I just don't like being that guy. I may try to fabricate some less conspicuous guards that will insert inside of the housing, but for now things are fine as they are.
I also decided that I didn't like the reflective paint that I had used before so I put a coat of plain semi-gloss black on the glare guards before putting them back on the car.
