2010.11.18 - Steering Wheel Hub Spacer
- Installed Nismo 25mm steering wheel hub spacer
I'd been thinking about spacing my steering wheel out a little more to gain some thigh/leg-room space, and decided to go ahead and install the Nismo spacer that came with my Nardi wheel. For some reason it came with tapered bolts instead of button-cap or socket-cap bolts though, so I had to go to Brazos Fasteners to pick up some appropriate hardware. The spacer is a slightly larger diameter than the hub and quick-disconnect base, so it looks a little bit peculiar if you inspect things too closely, but for the most part I don't think it is anything that anyone would really ever notice. The new position of the wheel seems to still be pretty comfortable and I can still just barely reach and manipulate the lever switches with my fingertips, so I think it will work out nicely.
