I was asked to try out a free sample of a new fuel treatment that our store may be carrying soon. It is marketed specifically as an additive for modern E-10 fuel (*most fuel, at least in my area, uses 10% ethanol added to meet octane requirements without using MTBE). There are a number of potential drawbacks to ethanol blend fuels (which I won't get into here), and this product is designed to adequately negate such problems. If you're interested in more specific details about the product, check out the website:
http://mystarbrite.com/startron/ I decided to give it a go, but wasn't really expecting any noticeable effect. Much to my surprise, the car seemed smoother and more responsive immediately after adding the Star*Tron and filling up the tank. It could be all in my head, but I don't think so because I wasn't really expecting any noticeable effect at all, much less something so immediate. Maybe it's just because I always fill up with cheap (and probably poor quality) fuel. The Star*Tron may have less noticeable results for people who use top-tier gasoline. Regardless, we'll see how this tank of fuel goes and I might pick up a bottle to try it out again.
