Time to become what I want to be... FOR REAL!!!

I must warn the reader that before you read through this post, I am drunk. I must be tactful, cause it's early in the morn and I plan on pulling an all nighter, because I have to play drums at church at 9am:

So today I actually got up at a reasonable time, went to the bank, called Nashville Gas and made sure that certain things were in order, and had one of the best and ONLY practice sessions I've had in a week and a half. I still feel great. I was productive this morning. Which hasn't been the case lately.

So I went to work at Bean's around 3, laptop in arms, ready to just sit and listen to Six Degrees of Inner Turbulance for the first time ever, when I spot Business Hippy reaking havoc. He has transitioned from being a cool crazy meth fiend to an annoying loser bitch. He just needs to know when to be quiet. But I think that that won't ever happen. Work sucked, a lot. No one interesting came in, with the exception of a few friends (Kavan and Josh came in while BH was yakin', and Ben, Cody, and Dylan, stopped by for a good while). The remainder of the evening was spent listening to Dream Theater, which was a sucess. I have regained a love for them, which was starting to wain horribly. I stepped out of the store at about eight for a quick peek of Steel City Crime at Dragon. Personally I just wanted to see Matt Tubbs play drums, he's gotten great! They put on a hell of a show!

After work I proceeded to head over to Ben Davis' new house for a "break in" party, which is how I became entagled in my current state. It was very fun. Booth and I talked for a good portion of the time about old girlfriends with mutual big brothers that we both know, but that's another story. I started to tell him about Lindsay and seemed very impressed and surprised to hear me talk about such a wonderful person. I'm still kind of his and Davis' little brother, so he was a tad bit caught off guard by my adult words, plus he was shitfaced!!!! But it was great getting to see him, Davis, Landon, and meeting a few new older Vestavia Grads.

All of this leads me to where I am now, sitting here on live journal, listening to a cd that Booth gave me. It's a band called Freak Kitchen. Don't bother looking them up, you won't find them anywhere, but they kick serious ASSSSSSSS!!!! Very good post prog power pop madness. I don't like hyphons, forgive me. But I've decided to utilize this beer fueled energy that I seem to have to listen deeply to several cds that are new to me. My teachers have been telling me that listening intently is almost more important than physical practice in a stylistic situation. I hope that made sense. So I'm going to listen to music until I pass out or until it's time to go to church in the morning.
